Information Communications Technologies And Social Media...

Executive Summary Technology has had a huge impact on education in recent years. Although there has been an increase in learning methods, technology has also made students increasingly distracted. This subsequently gave rise to the increasing need for teachers to facilitate the use of technology in the classroom. To make sure that their students stay focused and to fully utilize the potential of technology, Ministry of Education (MOE) Singapore must leverage on its main resource, teachers. MOE should utilize technologies such as collaborative technologies and social media where teachers can be present to facilitate. The effectiveness of these strategies would depend on the efforts of the teachers. MOE should provide proper incentives to these teachers and implement quotas or requirements for teachers to meet.
